Windy Maple Farm has 6 beautiful Nigerian Dwarf Goats.
Leo, Joey, Annie, Baby, Patrick, and the youngest and smallest Olaf
They are all very sweet and affectionate and bring joy and calmness into our lives
Leo and Joey, are the men of the heard...
Leo, the black and white goat, is a rambunctious goat that loves to headbutt and ram into your legs but above all he is sweet and loving who love to get his head rubbed whenever your with him. He will make sure to get them before you leave the pen. Leo is the father of both Patrick and Olaf. which are both very beautiful goats.
Joey is the brown and white one as well as our round one of the heard. He is a bottle baby which means he love affection probably more than any of the other goats do he will sit with you on the goat stand, or sometimes try to sit on your lap.
Annie and Baby are our 2 baby mamas aka the girls of the group.
Annie, the brown one,is our sweet loving nurturing mama goat. She is Patrick's mother and as you can see very beautiful.
Baby, the black and white one, is the smaller goat of the group. Like Joey she is a bottle baby , which means she is extremely affectionate and always want to be petted. She can be a bit of a struggle sometimes but she is sweet and loving, not much of the motherly type though.
Now onto our kids...
Patrick is the son of Annie and Leo.
The reason for his name Patrick is because he was born on St. Patrick's day. which is a cleaver idea right? he takes after his father and is extremely rambunctious. when he was only a few months old running around, poor Annie could barely keep up with his wild self running around all over the pen. He is extremely playful and supper sweet.
Olaf is the baby of the group. The son of Baby and Leo. Not only is he the youngest only by a month but also the smallest. The reason we named him Olaf was because our crazy girl baby wanted to have him outside in a snow storm. Not that we let that happen of course, but she tried to convince us to let her. Olaf had a bit of a rough start. He was born as a preemie in April. We were very worried bout him when he was born. Since baby was a bottle baby herself she didn't know what she was supposed to do with this 1.7 lbs baby goat laying next to her. She would always lick him, even when he was already clean, but she didn't care too much about feeding him. after 24 hours of monitoring him and baby we noticed he wasn't nursing off of her. we brought him into the house, talked to the vet, and made the decision to bottle feed him. Our daughter stepped up and took the responsibility of feeding him his bottles and becoming his new mother. (Thank god it was during quarantine) He is now healthy and even though he hasn't grown much he's becoming friends with the other goats.
